Do I need to know how to swim before learning to scuba dive?

Yes. Scuba diving requires that you are comfortable in the water and able to move with ease. While you don't need to be an expert swimmer, basic swimming ability is necessary for your safety and confidence during training.

How old do I have to be to get certified?

The minimum age for NAUI/PADI and most certifications is 10 years old. Younger students can participate in introductory programs like Try Scuba.

What’s included in the Open Water certification course?

Our Open Water Diver program includes:

- eLearning access
- Classroom and pool training
- Open water dives
- Use of scuba gear (mask, fins, snorkel not included)

How long does it take to get certified?

Most students complete certification in 3 to 5 days, depending on scheduling. Flexible options are available for evening and weekend training.

Do you provide scuba gear or should I buy my own?

We provide rental gear for all training dives. However, owning your mask, snorkel, and fins is recommended for comfort and fit.

Where do you conduct open water dives?

We conduct open water dives at Lake Mead, Lake Mohave, and Sand Hollow. Sites may vary based on conditions and course level.

Is scuba diving safe?

Yes, when trained properly. We follow all NAUI standards and safety protocols and maintain a low student-to-instructor ratio.

What happens if I miss a class?

Make-up options are available for pool or class sessions. Open water dives must be rescheduled with advance notice.
